Can Proactiv Clear Your Acne?
Surely you have heard about Proactiv, right? It is on nearly every other commercial on T.V. and has been featured by tons of A-list Hollywood stars. Some of the commercials are pretty entertaining and even we have been tempted to order Proactiv after listening to Katy Perry or Julianne Hough share their stories about how Proactiv worked for them. The thing is, that Proactiv has not been shown to be the most effective acne treatment even in other studies. So then we wonder if these celebrities are endorsing their product because they have actually seen success using them or are they endorsing the products because they are being paid a bunch of money to do so and they get publicity?
Celebrities may have worse skin than they let on because they are constantly being air brushed and have the best make up artists in the country. Proactiv has three products that work together to give you the best skin. The first is a cleanser called Renew that uses benzoyl peroxide to clean the skin and remove acne. Second you use Revitalize which is a toner. It doesn’t dry out your skin and it leaves you feeling refreshed. It uses primarily witch hazel. Lastly you use the Repair which is a medicated lotion that can moisturize your skin and can leave it looking young and rejuvenated.

Proactiv is $20 if you order it through their website. It retails in other places for $40 sometimes.
Is Proactiv Worth Your Money?
Proactiv has received a lot of positive attention because it has been effective for many people. In fact, we have known several people who have seen great success using Proactiv. However, it has caused a drying effect for some people because of the benzoyl peroxide. Other than that, there are not too many effective ingredients in Proactiv. If you have mild acne you could see an improvement in it after using Proactiv but if you have more troubles with acne you may need to use a stronger product. Although Proactiv is a good product for some people, if other benzoyl peroxide treatments have not worked for you, you might want to consider a different product.
