What are the Active Ingredients in Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Masque?

There are a few key ingredients in this acne masque. The main ingredient is obviously sulfur which is a great acne fighter but Peter Thomas Roth has added other ingredients that work synergistically together to fight acne and all the uncomfortable elements that go along with acne. Let me tell you a little more about the ingredients found in this masque.

  • Sulfur- Sulfur has been used as long as time to clear up acne. It is a pure element found in the earth, and can be found on the periodic table with the atomic number 16 and represented by the letter “S”. Sulfur provides and drying and a peeling effect on the skin and is effective at breaking down black heads and white heads. Sulfur is also known for its distinct and unpleasant smell.
  • Kaolin A- a type of clay that is made from rocks that are rich in kaolinite, this clay is successful at absorbing excess and unwanted oil that is found on acne prone and oily skin.
  • Eucalyptus Oil- oil from the eucalyptus leave, eucalyptus is said to be extremely antibacterial and will  help prevent future breakouts.
  • Aloe Vera- from the aloe vera plant, its juice is proven soothes and hydrates the skin.

Pros

  • Made with the well known and proven acne fighting ingredient sulfur.
  • Has been noted to work quickly.

Should you buy Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Masque?

I think that there are some great aspects to this masque, and it seems to have some very loyal users that love it, which is always a great sign when it comes to picking a product to use. My concern was in the negative reviews that said this product didn’t do much more than making their skin stinky and that their acne and oil problems were the same. Sulfur is an amazing ingredient for acne but just because a product has sulfur in it doesn’t meant that it is going to work the same as other sulfur products. It isn’t as much about if there is or isn’t sulfur but more about the way it is applied or used in the product. Usually when I am reviewing a product I feel either really good about it or really bad. When it comes to this product I am feeling a little torn. I can’t really seem so to put my finger on if this is a sulfur based masque that has been well formulated. That being said I am going to have to suggest that you either do a lot more research or keep looking for another acne fighting product. With the amount of negative testimonials I have read, I would hate to suggest it and have you be one of the users that have a bad reaction and no results.
