How Neutrogena Skin id Works
Once you have determined your skin type with the quiz Neutrogena puts together a treatment plan. It uses a cream cleanser/mask, a moisturizer, and an anti-acne treatment. Neutrogena Skin id uses a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide to treat acne. Basically these two treatments are going to kill bacteria on the surface of the skin so that they cannot become trapped in pores and cause new acne to form.
Clinical Results
Neutrogena Skin id posts the results of some clinical trials of their product. The trial was done in a double blind and random study against Proactiv. Basically this means that neither the people receiving treatment or the people administering the treatment knew who was receiving which treatment. Other people were receiving a placebo treatment or a fake treatment. By not letting anyone know who was receiving which treatment they were able to eliminate bias on the part of the subjects and the administrators to make their product sound better.
The results are shown on their website and it does look as though Neutrogena Skin id produced greater results in a shorter amount of time than Proactiv. We would be interested to see the effect of Neutrogena Skin id against a placebo because that would tell how effective it really was in treating acne.
Why Should You Try Neutrogena Skin id?
If you are debating between Neutrogena Skin id and Proactiv you may want to go with Neutrogena Skin id. It is the same type of treatment program as Proactiv but according to the clinical study it was more effective. However, we are not sure how effective Neutrogena Skin id is over other acne products or no treatment and due to the cost we may recommend that you look for a product that is more convenient and cost less money for the effectiveness.

Neutrogena skin ID didnt work for my daughter… that doesnt mean it’s a bad product. The problem I had was getting a hold of customer service to cancel it. I kept trying several times and would get busy signals which a customer service rep there named Kirbi said no one had complained about that but me. She cancelled the subscription and would not give me credit for a shipment I just received even after I offered to ship back…. she basically said I could but it was a waste of my time. She was trying to get me upset so she could hang up on me. She wouldnt let you finish a sentence… very rude! I will never buy a product from that company again. Don’t auto pay for any product with this company… you wont be able to reach them to cancel and they will call you a liar… try to get you irate so they can hang up on you and they will not credit you.
