What Is MaxClarity?
Maxclarity is a acne foam cleanser formulated by Stefiel, the world’s largest dermatology company with more than 160 years of scientific skin care innovations. Stiefel specialize in doctor-prescribed pharmaceuticals. With clinical studies to back up their products they claim to have the knowledge to deliver acne treatment that really works. They back up their promise of acne relief with a money-back guarantee. Something we like to hear.
How Does It Work?
Maxclarity claims that they not only use one but two strong acne fighting agents: Benzoyl peroxide and Salicylic acid. They are both available over the counter and is usually the first therapeutic choice for mild cases of acne. While benzoyl peroxide destroys bacteria (P.acnes) trapped in the follicles, it has no effect on sebum production or the keratinization process. Further, continued treatment may irritate and dry out the skin. Benzoyle peroxide has a temporary effect on the skin and if treatment is halted, acne will reappear. Antibiotic lotions, available by prescription, work by clearing the skin of P.acnes and slowing further proliferation of bacteria. However, theser topical lotions do not penetrate to reach bacteria deep within the follicles.
Maxclarity claims that their product is different than lotions and creams that contain Benzoyle peroxide and salicylic acid because of their versafoam technology. Their claim that their verafoam technology mades it so that their ingredietns are absorbed fast and penetrate deep into the skin. They claim they can maximize the system because they micronize the ingredient particles in the foam, and because they’re smaller, they can be absorbed fast and penetrate deep into the skin. Even more importantly, they don’t sit on top to irritate healthy skin.
So does Maxclarity work or not? Like most all products there are mixed reviews. Some liked it and some did not. The side effects that have been mentioned by consumers were not severe but did include that the product dried out the skin, the product did not last a month, and in some cases it made acne worse.
Our Final Word
Maxclarity might be beneficial for you if you have mild to moderate acne. It worked for some, but for others it just dried out their skin. We suggest you find what really works for your skin type, but if you suffer from a more severe and/chronic case of acne meet with a dermatologist to help you figure out how to approach acne.
