I too – like Amy above – have only experienced very minimal acne and just here and there over the years … until a year ago. I am 43 years old. I have all of a sudden experienced radical changes in my skin- larger pores, very oily and the deep cystic acne. This takes forever to clear and leaves scars after wards. My self-esteem has been tremendously affected by this. I have always been fortunate enough to have fairly clear skin – a little oily in the T-zone but not like now over the past year. I faithfully wash 2x daily and use acne treatment from my dermatologist. Nothing helps. Anyone with feedback that really works – please, please help me and others out by passing on your advice. We really would appreciate it. I am tired of spending money on products (proActiv, multiple benzoyl peroxide misc., etc.) as well as getting my hopes up only to let down with no improvement but only redness and/or over drying skin.

I do not see an answer to the above persons ? and I am wondering the same. I have also read that vitamin B5 is great for those adults who have adult acne that is much more like a cystic acne that takes forever to clear up due to the acne coming out from the inside out rahter then the more simple acne that teens or young adults get. I never in my life had any acne my entire life until I hit my late 30′s and I am now 40 and the cystic acne is devastating because it last a long time, very hard to get rid of and scars your face. I have tried it all, and I mean all. Nothing Ive tried has been able to control this acne, it has really damaged my self esteem and I feel like there is no end in site and no remedy to cure it. I have heard of vitamin b5 and also zinc just recently in that it does heal from inside out. Is there anyone that has actually used this product and what were the results. there is only one review on here and the person does not sound like they were having a real problem with adult acne and I don’t see any real wow in their voice. So at this point Im a little sceptical. Anyone else out there try this and what were your overall results? Thanks…Amy

im 38 i have had acne since i was nine years old,now my bumps have gone from blackheads to deep sis like pimple that have to be hopped or they leave a deep dark knots on my face…im a woman of color…

Neutrogena skin ID didnt work for my daughter… that doesnt mean it’s a bad product. The problem I had was getting a hold of customer service to cancel it. I kept trying several times and would get busy signals which a customer service rep there named Kirbi said no one had complained about that but me. She cancelled the subscription and would not give me credit for a shipment I just received even after I offered to ship back…. she basically said I could but it was a waste of my time. She was trying to get me upset so she could hang up on me. She wouldnt let you finish a sentence… very rude! I will never buy a product from that company again. Don’t auto pay for any product with this company… you wont be able to reach them to cancel and they will call you a liar… try to get you irate so they can hang up on you and they will not credit you.

I tried VitaB5 and it worked really well. While I was taking it, I didn’t have any breakouts and my skin clarity improved a whole bunch. The serum has a very pleasant smell and best of all I didn’t have any skin irritation.
